Meet Gus Aleman: Guiding Minds, Healing Hearts
Born and raised in Vernon, Texas, Gus Aleman is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a Board Certified Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner whose life and work are rooted in service, faith, and healing. His journey—from military deployments to founding Southwest Agape Wellness, PLLC—has been guided by a calling to uplift others and restore wholeness in mind, body, and spirit.
I believe that mental wellness is possible when a partnership between provider and patient is built on trust, compassion, and shared hope.
Southwest Agape Wellness is planting seeds of transformation—one patient, one story, one soul at a time. Our vision is to extend the warmth of a hometown approach to communities across Texas, reminding all who enter that they matter deeply and that healing and restoration is always possible. No one is ever just a number; they are seen, heard, and valued. Our belief is that healing begins not in isolation, but in connection, when we walk hand-in-hand with the support systems that uplift and sustain us.

[Agape]
“A Greek word, agape means a love that is not based on personal feelings of desires but rather on a deep, selfless concern for the well-being of others.”
Our Mission
At Southwest Agape Wellness, we uphold a core principle that each individual who walks through our doors matters deeply. Our commitment to compassionate care is a daily reminder—to ourselves and our patients—that your well-being is not only recognized but honored. It is both my privilege and calling to serve anyone who seeks healing, hope, and support. Together, we cultivate awareness and build momentum toward healing, inclusion, and lasting progress. We strive to improve access to comprehensive mental health services, championing a standard of care that prioritizes dignity, respect, and connection, with a shared vision for a future built on resilience, compassion, and the unfolding of possibility.
